Lisa has extensive experience guiding adults and teens with anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
In her work with adults, Lisa specializes in navigating divorce, nurturing family relationships with adult children, work/life balance, stress management, and nutrition. She also counsels young adults and provides guidance with transitions, including adjustment to college, developing career objectives, and launching post-college.
In addition, Lisa helps children manage the demands of middle school and high school, navigate social media, and address self-esteem issues. She assists young children and their parents with executive functioning challenges and the symptoms of ADHD. Lisa has experience in educational advocacy and the administration of school accommodations, including IEP (Individualized Education Plans) and 504 Plans.
Lisa previously worked at North Shore Academy, a therapeutic high school for students who struggle with the social, emotional, and behavioral demands of school. While there, she counseled adolescents with a wide range of challenges, including ADHD, anxiety, and substance use.
Biographical Information
Lisa completed her undergraduate coursework at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law. She earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at National Louis University. Lisa is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.
